BENDALL V. DAVIES.

Mr. Gannon, instructed by Mr. W.J. Hill, appeared for the plaintiff; and Mr. G.H. Reid, instructed by Mr. Charles Ball, for the defendant. This was an action brought by Matthew Bendall for the alleged seduction of his daughter, Eliza Bendall, while she was in defendant's service in 1886, near Penrith, and when she was 16 years of age. Defendant pleaded not guilty.

The jury after a short consultation returned a verdict for plaintiff with damages �200.
